Portland, Or.  1/17/2009 – The Portland River Hawks

The Portland River Hawks held their first practice of the year on Jan. 17, 2009. We had lots of sun and blue sky with the temperature in the mid 40's, but with wind gusts over 45MPH and steady flow in the upper 30 MPH range the chill factor was in the mid 20 degrees....Thanks to the brave and dedicated players we practiced for almost 2 1/2 hours.

After warm ups and light throwing the team played a little 5 on 5 and had batting practice with live pitching.
